Keep your cat healthy
Cats are picky about water. If the water has a strange taste or smell, they may not drink it.
To keep the fountain water fresh and clean, replace the filter every two weeks.
¿Tienes dudas?
How often should the filters be replaced?
We recommend replacing the filter every 2 weeks to ensure fresh, clean water.
What happens if the pump stops working?
Just email us at customers@catvitalis.com and we’ll make sure you and your cat are taken care of.
What if I forget to change the filter?
First of all, don’t worry.
But here’s what happens:
Week 3: The filter starts to clog.
→ Your cat still drinks, but the water is no longer as pure.
Week 4: The filter is at its limit.
→ The water takes longer to filter.
→ A slight odor may appear.
Week 5+: The filter stops working.
→ Your cat starts drinking less (gradually).
→ You go back to the problem that made you buy the fountain.
It’s not that “something bad happens.”
It’s that you stop getting the full benefit of what you bought.

My cat has been drinking less lately. Could it be the filter?
It could be.
If your cat used to drink more and now drinks less, ask yourself:
- How long has it been since you changed the filter?
- Is the water flowing more slowly than before?
- Does it smell different (even if you change it)?
If the answer to any of these is “yes”…
it’s probably the filter.
Change it today.
And watch what happens over the next 2–3 days.
If your cat starts drinking more again → it was the filter.
If not → check with your vet just in case.
(Most likely, it’s the filter.)
